Lower Doyang HE Project is planned on the Doyang River in Wokha district, Nagaland. The dam site is located near Poytchu village. A 23.7m high dam will be built, and a power station will be located at 250m D/s of dam site.

The proposed installed capacity is 3 units of 6 MW each. The project is expected to generate 70.0 million units (Mu) of electricity annually, with a Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 44.4%. Each turbine will operate with Net head of 17.74 m, Discharge of 39.05cumec/ unit.

The Government of Nagaland has assigned the project to Maruti Engineering Services, which has hired Bangalore Hydro Engineers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (BHEC) to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR).
