Chunchunakatte Small Hydro Electric Project (CHEP), Mysuru District, Karnataka

Graphite India Limited operates the 18 MW Chunchunkatte HEP on the Cauvery River. The Karnataka government has allotted an additional 5 MW capacity as an independent scheme—Chunchunakatte SHEP (CSHEP)—near Chunchanakatte village in Saligrama taluk, Mysuru District. Developed on a BOOT basis, CHEP augments local hydro generation.
