Arabhavi Tank filling project is envisaged to fill 20 tanks in Gokak taluk by lifting water from Ghataprabha River along with flood protection works.

The tanks will be filled to meet the drinking water needs of this area and to improve the groundwater level in this arid and drought prone area. The contemplated utilization is 47.60 Mcft. The pumping discharge is around 0.284cumec (24.5MLD) with a pumping head of 176m and 2 pumps of 480hp each.
