Kambadaga HEP

Kambadaga Hydro Power Project is envisaged across river Kokoulo near the villages of Saran Pame and Lev Niélé in Mamou Prefecture of Republic of Guinea. The project area geographically lies in the Fouta Djallon highlands. The village Ley Niélé is on the left bank (the left edge of the proposed weir axis) and Sarang Pame is on the right bank.

The project primarily envisages to utilize the natural bed fall in the river Kokoulo including the Kambadaga Falls which has a height of around 200m. The rapids upstream and downstream of this Fall when combined gives a gross head of around 300m.

Bangalore Hydro Engineers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (BHEC) delivers comprehensive planning and design services for the scheme.

The installed capacity would be two units of 12500 kW each with a rated net head of 308m.
