Upper Doyang HE Project is planned on the Doyang River in Wokha district, Nagaland. The dam site is located near Philimi village. A 24.0 m high dam will be built, and a power station will be located at the base of the dam (dam toe powerhouse). The project is designed to use the river’s flow to generate electricity.

The proposed installed capacity is 3 units of 6 MW each. The project is expected to generate 63.72 million units (Mu) of electricity annually, with a Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 40.41%. Each turbine will operate with Net head of 22.15m, Discharge of 31.27cumec/ unit.

The Government of Nagaland has assigned the project to Maruti Engineering Services, which has hired Bangalore Hydro Engineers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (BHEC) to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR).
