Hukkeri Tank filling project fills 19 tanks in Hukkeri taluk by lifting water from Ghataprabha river The project will utilize 35.75Mcft. The area is dotted with numerous tanks but has not filled their capacity over the recent years due to scanty rainfall. The discharge requirement would be around 0.213cumec (18.4MLD) with a pumping head of 181m. Three 330hp pumps (2W+1S) are being installed.

Bangalore Hydro Engineers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (BHEC) has delivered complete project designs including hydraulic transient analysis and design of surge protection measures. The project is nearing completion.
