Shivashakthi Lift Irrigation Scheme (SLIS) is proposed to augment irrigation for 9,801Ha of suffering command area under Raibag High Level Distributory (RHLD) and Raibag Distributory in Raibag and Chikkodi Taluks, Belagavi District by lifting water from Krishna River.

The scheme targets irrigation for F to L blocks along RHLD and Raibag Distributory. RHLD, originally implemented five decades ago, suffers from aging infrastructure causing inadequate discharge at tail ends. SLIS will serve as supplementary irrigation, improving reliability even after future modernization of RHLD.

The project requires a total pump capacity of 1,600hp to deliver a discharge of around 5.163cumec (445MLD), with total water consumption of about 1.001 TMC to meet Kharif crop needs.
