M. S. Ramesh holds a master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore (1992). With over 30 years of experience, he has held key roles at Excel Consulting Services, Tata Consulting Engineers, GMR Energy Limited, and Adani Renewable Energy Group. Since 2021, he serves as Senior Consultant at BHEC
He specializes in the design of reinforced concrete and steel structures and foundations, including machine foundations, for coal, gas, hydro, solar, and wind power plants, as well as for buildings and infrastructure projects.
Narayana Achutha holds an M. Tech in Hydraulics & Water Resources from IIT Kanpur (1996). He brings extensive experience from roles at NHPC Ltd., Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE), and Design Group Project Consultants, before joining Bangalore Hydro Engineers and Consultants Pvt. Ltd. as Senior Consultant in December 2023. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India).
His expertise covers planning and design of dams, tunnels, surge tanks, water conductor systems, penstocks, underground structures, powerhouses, and related hydro and irrigation projects. He has published research in respected journals and conferences, including the ASCE Journal of Hydraulic Engineering and CBIP’s Indian Journal of Power & River Valley Development.
S. Chandra Gupta holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from UVCE Bengaluru (1977) and an MBA (Finance) from Central College, Bengaluru (1983). He began his career with KPCL, serving from 1977 and retiring as Superintending Engineer (Civil) in 2015. Since 2016, he has been a Consultant with BHEC
He brings extensive expertise in planning hydro power, lift irrigation and canal projects, along with gates, hoists, penstocks, hydrology, power potential studies, cost estimation, and financial viability analysis.
Ekambaram T. D. holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering (1976) and a B.E. (Civil) from Bangalore University (1992, First Class). With nearly 45 years of experience, he began his career at Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd., contributing to the Kalinadi Hydro Electric Power Project and later to the Chief Engineer’s Civil Design Office in Bangalore, where he was involved in major infrastructure projects such as RTPS units 5 & 6. From 2002 to 2018, he served in Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation, rising to Executive Engineer (Designs), handling detailed analysis, design, and structural drawings for police quarters, stations, fire stations, and prison buildings across Karnataka. Since 2018, he has been with BHEC, focusing on the design, estimation, and tender documentation for key projects like the Chachadi and Murogod LIS.
Ekambaram brings deep expertise in both site and design engineering across public sector building, infrastructure, and hydro project domains.
Pradipta Kumar Dash holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from UCP Engineering School, Odisha (1987). He has extensive experience working on hydroelectric projects across Uttaranchal, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka. Skilled in managing projects from site construction through commissioning, he has contributed to projects ranging from 9 MW to 400 MW capacity.
K. S. Radhakrishna holds a B.Sc. from Yuvaraja’s College, Mysore (1972), a B.E. in Civil Engineering from JCE Mysore (1976), and an M.E. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore (1978). He joined Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) in 1979 and contributed to numerous hydroelectric projects until retiring in 2015
His expertise includes investigations, planning, design, detailed project report preparation, hydrological assessments, and securing project clearances from bodies such as the Central Water Commission (CWC) and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF). He is currently a Senior Consultant at BHEC.
Lingaraju holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from BDT College of Engineering, Davangere (1981). He served Karnataka Power Corporation for 36 years, progressing to Superintending Engineer (Electrical) before retiring in 2016. His experience includes design, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation & maintenance of hydroelectric projects such as Nagjhari Powerhouse (Kali project), Varahi Underground Powerhouse, and Almatti Dam Powerhouse, with unit capacities ranging from 15 MW to 135 MW.
Since 2022, he has been a Senior Expert Consultant at BHEC, focusing on E&M design and erection, testing, and commissioning of hydroelectric power projects.
Rashmi Jairaj holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from UVCE Bangalore (2004). She started her career as a Design Engineer at Design Group Pvt. Ltd. until 2008, then joined BHEC as Senior Design Engineer. She currently serves as Deputy General Manager.
Rashmi specializes in the design and planning of civil components for hydro power and lift irrigation projects, including powerhouses, pump houses, water conducting systems, intakes, spillways, tunnels, penstocks, surge tanks, hydrology, power potential studies, and construction scheduling using Microsoft Project. She also actively coordinates site construction activities.
Ramya S. holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from UVCE Bangalore (2004). She began her career as a Design Engineer at Design Group Pvt. Ltd. until 2008, then joined Bangalore Hydro Engineers and Consultants Pvt. Ltd. as Senior Design Engineer. She currently serves as Deputy General Manager.
Ramya specializes in the design and planning of civil components for hydro power and lift irrigation projects, including powerhouses, pump houses, water conducting systems, intakes, spillways, tunnels, penstocks, surge tanks, hydrology, power potential studies, and financial viability assessments. She also plays an active role in site coordination during construction activities.
Pramod Kumar H.B. holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum (2007). He started his career as a Quantity Surveyor with Gopalan Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., then worked as Senior Design Engineer at Design Group Project Consultants Pvt. Ltd. from 2007 to 2018. He currently serves as Deputy General Manager at Bangalore Hydro Engineers and Consultants Pvt. Ltd.
Pramod specializes in the design of civil structures for hydroelectric and lift irrigation projects, including structural and hydraulic components such as barrages, tunnels, intakes, water-conducting systems, penstocks, surge tanks, and powerhouses. He has contributed to various irrigation projects under Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited (KNNL), Minor Irrigation & Ground Water Development Board (MID), and Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Ltd. (KBJNL). He is also actively involved in project planning, scheduling, and technical compliance reviews.
