K.L.Krishnamurthy (M.E Structural Engg)
Chairman
Worked as lecturer in Palghat Engg College between 1967 and 1972. Later worked in KPCL, from 1972 till his retirement as Executive Director in 2002. He was involved in construction of Hydro and Thermal power Projects and also in designing the dams and power houses of Kalinadi and Gerusoppa Hydel projects. Specialised in the preparation of bids,bid evaluation etc.
S.N.Subramaniam (A.M.I.E)
Managing Director
Started his career by working in Maharastra Irrigation Department and later in Hydro Electric projects of Himachal Pradesh mainly Baira-Sul and salal Projects (NHPC) upto 1977. Joined Karnataka Power Corporation Limited in 1977 and worked till his retirement in 2001. He was mainly involved in planning and design of dams, power houses and water conductor systems of Chakra, Sharavathy, Dams of Gerusoppa & Varahi Hydel Project.Specialised in Hydrology & Power Potential studies, Surge analysis, Project Planning & designs of Dams, Tunnels,Penstocks & other underground structures, Safety evaluation etc.
C.R Ramesh (B.E., M.Tech.MIE)

Joined KPCL in 1972. He was involved in project management, planning & design works of dams, water conductor systems, power houses of Kalinadi stage I &II, Geruoppa, & Sharavathy hydro Projects. Specialised in the design of dams, spillways and outlets, Rehabilitation of dams etc., He retired from KPCL service in 2007 as Executive Director.
V. Narayana, (A.M.I.E)

Joined KPCL in 1973. Worked in Maharashtra Irrigation Dept., before joining KPCL. He was invoveld in designing, planning quality control & construction works of hydel projects till his retirement in 2002. He is well versed with the designs of various components, estimation and drawings of hydel schemes including periodical, quality-checks of construction works.
K.K.Hawargi (B.E.{Civil})

Has worked in KPCL for 29 years.Worked for 9years in hydel projects invoving construction of intake structure, chute-spillway. Also involved in technical audits and vigilance. Specialisation in STAAD, FEM analysis, MS Project and civil designs of hydel projects.
H.V.Shivarudrappa (B.E.{Civil})

After Graduating from Mysore University in 1983 Worked as Engineer (civil) in Private sector and State Govt.for 6 years before Joining NHPC Limited.He worked at different levels with different responsibilities for 21 years.
During his entire tenure in NHPC he was responsibly involved himself and carried out various activities like Design, preparation of PFR'S.FR'S,Safety inspection of Dams and associated structures and other associated works of many Hydro electric Projects in uttarakhand, Manipur; Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, J & K, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Goa.Proficient in working with computer aided Drawing & Design packages like STAAD and similar software. He was a nominated member to National Committee on Dam Safety (NCDS) headed by Chairman of CWC.

After completing the BE, Mr. Ananda.D.S worked as a Lecturer in NIE Mysore. In 1981 he joined KPCL as Asst. Engineer – He was involved in the design of various components of Hydro Electric Projects, Planning of Bellary Thermal Power Stations. He was also involved in Planning and investigations of many projects and preparation of Feasibility/Project Reports. He was involved in the Planning of Yelahanka Combined Cycle Gas based Thermal Power Station. He has also involved in Execution of Power Projects. He completed Master Degree in Hydraulics from IIT Madras. He has specialization in Revit Structure, FORTRAN, Turbo C & C++ Visual Basic etc,. He retired as Superintending Engineer - Civil Designs, KPCL in 2016.
S. Harekal Rao (B.E. {Elec})

He has worked in KPCL for 27 years. The work mainly involved operation and maintenance of switchyards, thermal power stations, installation, testing & commissioning of transformers. His main projects include Raichur Thermal Power Station & Bidadi Power Projects. Well experienced in ODY and transmission line, inspection at works etc.,
S.Jayaraju (B.E.{Civil})

Joined KPCL in 1975, after serving Karanataka P.W.D for 4 years. He was involved in construction, quality control and design of hydel projects . He is specialized in the designs and detailing for gates and hoists.
S. Chandra Gupta (B.E.{Civil})
GM (Civil)
He Joined KPCL in 1997 and was retired in 2015. During this period he was involved in construction & design of hydro electric power projects and thermal projects. He was associated in planning, project investigation, preperation of DPRs, monitoring & maintenance of power project etc.,

DGM (civil)
He worked for CWC for 38 years and retired as AEE. During his service he was involved in design & construction of Irrigation and Hydro Electric Projects of State and Central Governments.After his retirements he worked for Design Group as Sr.Design Engineer, prior to joinng BHEC.
